"As has been stated many times, finding out can also lead to more meaningful learning than being told. However, it's still necessary to be reminded of this fact because it's not as readily applied to official constructions of curriculum as it might be and opportunities to discover sometimes are sidelined in favor of the transmission of selected knowledge.
